Skewed trap piping at UV-4 due to broken anchor A-11.

Note that this piping was accomplished after the initial installation to apparently make the trap more assessable. The fact that the trap piping is now skewed suggests that the anchor broke after the trap assembly was repiped, and thus, after the initial installation.

This lends some credence to the theory that the build up of corrosive materials over time either increased the expansion joints’s tendency to hang up or increased their “breakaway friction” thereby eventually causing the poorly welded anchors to give way.
